FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What kind of blade do you offer, and who is it suitable for?
The layers consist of Koto, Ayous, and Limba, with a Kiri core, resulting in a blade with an offensive profile. However, this can be toned down by using our defensive rubbers—ideal if the player doesn't attack very often—or, conversely, enhanced by pairing it with our offensive rubbers.
What is the difference between offensive and defensive rubber sheets?
The top rubber layer is largely the same; the difference lies in the sponge underneath. An offensive rubber features a "sponge-cake" type of sponge—a porous material that creates a catapult effect upon impact, boosting the ball's speed. A defensive rubber, by contrast, has a solid, non-porous sponge that does not amplify speed. Essentially, the ball travels at a speed directly proportional to how hard you hit it.
Why is a Pongify paddle so inexpensive compared to others?
The Pongify paddle is—and was always intended to be—priced below the market average, relative to its performance. When we first entered the world of this sport, we discovered—contrary to our expectations—that it is extremely expensive. So, we decided to do something about it! If you look at the technical specifications, a paddle from a well-known brand with the same properties as one of ours costs significantly more.
Who is the Pongify paddle suitable for?
The Pongify paddle is suitable for both beginners and more advanced players, as it can be configured for various playing styles and features excellent technical specifications.
Why don't you have ITTF stamp on your rubbers yet?
For the moment, our target audience is not the professional players, where ITTF approval is required for the rubbers. In the future, when we will grow as a brand and company in general, our products will be ITTF approved.
